Presenter guidelines

Oral presentation

All presentations must be brought to the registration desk and uploaded into the central system on the first day of registration.

Speakers are kindly asked to be present in their respective session rooms at least 10 minutes before the session begins to facilitate a smooth running of the presentations.

Please prepare an oral presentation lasting 10 minutes, allowing for a minimum of 3 minutes for discussion. Discussion plays a vital role in scientific exchanges, fostering an engaging and constructive conference atmosphere. Presenters are advised that the chairpersons will intervene if discussion time is used for extending presentations.

Personal computers will not be permitted for presentations. All materials must be in either PowerPoint or PDF format. While there is no specific template, we encourage you to incorporate the symposium logo on both the title and final slides. The conference logo can be downloaded from the provided link. The preferred slide format is 16:9.

Mac users should ensure that their presentations maintain proper formatting and fonts when viewed in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Please ensure all communication is conducted in English.

Poster presentation

Poster sizes must adhere to A0 Portrait style dimensions, with a maximum width of 841 mm and height of 1189 mm. Landscape orientation is NOT permitted.

Please refer to the programme to find your assigned poster number. Your poster location will be designated by this number. Posters will be arranged numerically and grouped by topic. A poster map will be provided near the poster area and will also be available at the registration desk. Presenters are responsible for hanging their posters in the designated space corresponding to their assigned number during registration by 8:30 AM on Monday, August 26th (Day 1) and can be taken down after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28th (Day 3). Posters remaining after this time will be taken down and disposed of by the organisers.

Judging session
Please note that judging session will occur during coffee breaks and lunchtime on Day 1 and Day 2. Please make sure you are near your poster during these times to answer any questions from the judges.

Rapid-Fire Presentation
The top 14 posters will be eligible for a Rapid-Fire Presentation. These presentations will take place on Day 3 of the conference. If your poster is selected, please prepare presentation slides for a rapid-fire pitch on August 28th at 2:30 to 3:30 PM.

The total allocated time for each presentation is 5 minutes including Q&A. The decision on the top 14 posters will be made by the end of Day 2 of the conference. If your poster is selected, you will be notified promptly, and further instructions will be provided.

Please ensure all communication is conducted in English.
